In Japanese culture, "Hatsune" originally refers to the first song of the year for birds and insects, particularly the song of the nightingale, and this word carefully expresses the elegance of this product. The distinctive kimono features fabric for the furisode portion, which has undergone repeated trial production to ensure the patterns continue even across the sewing lines, and is embossed with gold foil to recreate a dazzling golden sheen. These are dyed using the traditional Yuzen dyeing technique, carefully dyeing each color using a stencil, resulting in 12 colors for the green kimono and 11 colors for the blue kimono, with time and effort poured into creating the unique depth of color. The facial expression, faithfully recreated from the illustration, features jewel-like eyes that sparkle in the light, a subtle vermilion tint to the cheeks, and cherry blossom-colored lips, creating a gentle impression.
