The Cthulhu Original Statue Series "Cthulhu Evolution" beings with Japanese Sculptor Takayuki Takeya design of Cthulhu as a polystone statue. Based on the description found in Lovecraft's "The Call of Cthulhu", Takayuki Takeya has reimagined the Great Old One, making for a statue like never seen before.

The sculpting and paintwork master were done by Takayuki Takeya himself. Cthulhu stands atop a base representing the ruins of the sunken city of R'lyeh and its non-Euclidean geometry.
