Based on the cover art that graced *DARK HORSE PRESENTS #88*, published in August 1994, this design blends it with Mike Mignola’s refined silhouette of Hellboy, rendered in his more recent style. Under the supervision of the original creator, the Mignola design has been meticulously recreated—from the iconic ‘Right Arm of Doom’ and rock-hard musculature to the equipment, including the handgun, holster and various pouches. The B.P.R.D. (Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defence) emblem has been recreated on the left sleeve, which was torn in the cover art. The result is a substantial statue that not only captures a moment in the illustration but also brings the character’s backstory to life.
